A college standout football star, Del made the transition to pro wrestling in 1988 for the AWA. He continued to travel around the wrestling world, working for GWF, All-Japan, WCW, and the WWF, where he was put in the spotlight immediately with pro-Canada World Champion Bret Hart. The Patriot was also successful tag team wrestler, willing the AWA and WCW World Titles, as well as All-Japan's All Asia titles. Despite becoming addicted to painkillers and other drugs, Del has learned from his mistakes and is now retired from the sport, working at a successful car dealership in Columbia, South Carolina. Del appeared on Episode 214: The Tale of Two Dels and Episode 234: Four Year Super Happy Anniversary Fun Time Show Spectacular
